The International Sportscar Federation (ISF) teamed up with Super Hot Modified Unlimited Championship (SHMUC) to return to the legendary Deckertring. GTP didn't go too hot for Kamikawa but he and Bil Black had an epic duel in the SHMUC GT division with the F40 driver taking the win. This is a 10 minute video of that race using iPhone Live Pictures and video clips. Pay attention to the natural sound for the story of the race. With great fanfare the ISF returned to one of the founding tracks, the legendary Deckertring. GTP was joined by the Super Hot Modified Unlimited Championship GT and Van divisions.

2023 ISF Rapids Invite Video

 

Video above is a seven minute feature about the 2023 Rapids Invitational race. This year‘s event was a little bit different because while the traditional winner of the F1 division got the  famed samurai sword trophy, the second division of GTP this time the winner won the usual trophy for the rapids Grand Prix. Normally these two divisions are featured in two separate races in a season, however this year there was not a second race so the Rapids Grand Prix trophy was awarded to the winner of the GTP event. ISF Changes for 2022

For the last several years the ISF has run in conjunction with 
Indyslotcar in the fall and early winter an with SHMUC running in
late winter and spring.
 This year we will not be running the traditional ISF schedule in the fall. We would run the regular SHMUC divisions as we have before but mix in the old school ISF divisions of GTP, F1 and GT with a few modifications.  Each race night we run a SHMUC division and an ISF division and maybe a quickie Vans race like we did last season. Run the same rules of stock chassis for the ISF divisions like we have in the past but open the tire rule to any slip-on tire.  Basically, the ones that you can purchase from Lucky Bob’s. Also, for the ISF division, we could run the Alphabet mains like we do in SHMUC.



F1 – 440 narrow chassis with stock components – run any of the slip on tires available at Lucky Bobs.

GT – 440 chassis, stock components – run Bob’s tires. GT type bodies
(Corvette, Lambo, Ferrari, Porsche, Camaro, Firebird, Mustang, Nissan,
etc… really everyone knows what a GT body is - no NASCAR or IndyCar/F1)

GTP – AFX Super G+ chassis, stock components. Same rules as always plus run Bob’s tires.

Qualifying is a heat race to seed the Mains.  

Road Course: two 90 second halves. 

Oval: four 60 second quarters - (run all lanes).
Mains will be the Alphabet style ladder.  

Road Course:
All mains B and lower are two 2 minute halves, A main is 4 minute halves.  

Ovals:
All mains B and lower are four 1 minute quarters, A main is four 2 minute
quarters - (run all lanes).

2021 SHMUC Rapids Spring Race

The Super Hot Modified Unlimited Championship pays a second visit to Rapids International Raceway in the 2021 season. Trucks, Super SHMUC, and Vans raced. Mike Lack entered this event with no wins on the season. You know he would take a win at Rapids, right?

A long drought of several seasons ended with Ev Kamikawa's win in the NASCAR division of Super Hot Modified Unlimited Championship (SHMUC). He had one a previous exhibition event, however this was his first win. "Now forever I can say that at least for one night I was king of the SCHMUCS!"
