2019 Indyslotcar Rapids Grand Prix in Pictures

2019 Indyslotcar Rapids Grand Prix

It has been a tradition after the Indyslotcar series visits Rapids International Raceway to post a series of pictures of the event from a slightly different perspective, that of all the activities around town.

People always think that if you own a track you get a lot of practice. Not if your cat sits on the scoring system!

German WWII reinactors were there to do a battle demonstration after the race. They entertained the crowd by crushing old cars with a tank

Soldiers from Section 31, in the future, corner a Tazailian Blue Bug that transwarped back in time to RIR by accident. The woman appeared to be in danger but was only being protected after the woman fell and couldn't get up (very similar to the story of a gorilla that held a human boy after the kid fell into the cage). The Bug and the soldiers vanished before anyone knew what happened

Not to be outdone by the German WWII tank crushing cars, a heavy tank from the 24th armored division put on a car crushing demonstration of their own

After the race the movie producers of the Catzilla series began work on their next scene. The track collects a fee for allowing the makers of Catzilla and Kittenzilla film franchises to shoot their movies around the town

2019 Final Points Standings

"Cheers to 20 years of ISF racing,"
as toasted by GTP 2019 Champ and

                                                    commissioner Everet Kamikawa

The 2019 ISF season was a celebration of 20 years of sportscar racing with some of the greatest drivers in history. GTP was the only official championship, as the F1 division was divided between the traditional Tyco 440x2 and the AFX Mega G chassis that was used for three seasons several years ago as a sort of throwback celebration. The GT division returned after a several year hiatus for two events, however two events are not enough for a championship. The LMP division was not contested although originally scheduled for two events, they were scrubbed for additional F1 events.

Ev Kamikawa took his second GTP championship, and his first since 2004. He also would have won the GT championship. Mike Lack would also have won the F1 title yet again.

In the future the divisions and events might be different as the rules are opened up for revision for the 21st season.
