Rist & Kamikawa Win 2021 Nacho Cheese Races

Rist & Kamikawa Win 2021 Nacho Cheese Races
Rist Ranks #1 with GT Win

Kamikawa Wins West Bend GTP GP
Kristof Wins 1st Career GT Pole

The second ISF event of the 2021 saw a number of twists and we don't mean just on the
Lack Track
road course.
Ev Kamikawa's Shell Ferrari took pole position and had a relatively smooth win
over a very fast
Bill Black, who won a heat race and the semi final. Mike Lack rounded
out the podium along with
Mike Kristof, who made his 2021 season debut.

The GT race featured a stunning ending. Qualifying was tight as Steve Rist, John Wiedemann,
and Kamikawa all took turns with fastest lap. Kristof surprised all with bringing his Nissan
to the top.
He led the first laps of the GT event until passed by an absolutely flying John Wiedemann.
Rist would maintain
a valiant pursuit however it looked as if Wiedemann would win until with 33 seconds
left in the race he
touched tires with another car and crashed out of the race. Rist took the win.
Wiedemann would
keep second place as his lap total couldn't be passed. Lack took third with Kristof fourth.

Kayden Rist became the first ISF driver to pass the new rookie test rules and
finished a respectable
7th in GTP and 5th in GT in his third career ISF start.
